LOWER SCHOOL

APPLICATION PROCESS

APPLYING TO KINDERGARTEN

The Blue Oak School’s kindergarten is a close and supportive class community where the imagination and curiosity of our youngest students are nurtured. Our Kindergarten program serves entering children who turn five by September 1 of the year they will begin at Blue Oak.

The kindergarten day balances whole-group, individualized, structured, and self-directed activities that allow children to practice collaboration, independence, negotiation skills, and choice-making.

Step 1: Schedule a Visit to our school.

SCHEDULE A VISIT

You may schedule an individual visit, join a group tour or attend an Open House. Open houses are offered outside of regular school hours.

They are designed to provide a more in-depth look at progressive education, our program, and community. During this event, you will hear from our Head of School, visit teachers in their classrooms, meet current parents, and hear from our students and alums.

School tours are given during the school day and are an opportunity to see our classrooms in action. Tours last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes and are intended for adults. Reservations are required.
