Substitute Teacher Elementary and/or Middle School

We are seeking dynamic and warm substitute teachers to fill in and support our program when needed. The substitutes will provide day-long academic, socio-emotional, organizational, and behavioral support in the classroom assigned. Qualified candidates will have had some prior classroom or camp experience and possess the desire to take an active role in working with teachers and children. Although specific requirements and duties vary slightly by grade and day, there are several common requirements and responsibilities for substitute work at Blue Oak School

Lower School Receptionist

We are seeking a Lower School Campus Coordinator who brings a love of children, a deep understanding of independent school culture, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and organizational skills, enjoys administrative work, and is detail-oriented. This is a full-time, 12 month position reporting to the Head of School.

Lead Teacher TK-8th Grade

We are seeking a warm, experienced, and innovative homeroom teacher to join our teaching team, working as a teaching/learning partner with our students and families. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a collaborative environment and embrace an inquiry-based and developmental approach to teaching children. The ideal candidate will understand how to provide differentiated and extended learning experiences within the context of a progressive school and use a variety of teaching strategies to engage students in learning. Classroom management skills are a must. A love of learning and love of school, and a willingness to support unique and unpredictable learning journeys by students will help you thrive at Blue Oak School.
