Prospective parents and guardians are invited to discover Blue Oak during the school day – exploring classrooms and hearing from teachers, student, and school leaders. These adults-only small group tours allow parents and guardians to spend time experiencing the school in action and getting a feel for daily life at Blue Oak. Reservations required – choose the day that works best for you by registering through the Visit Us page of this website.

Family Showcases (three times a year) provide the whole family an in-depth look at our progressive TK–8 program and welcoming community. These structured events are tied to meaningful programming on campus and cater to all family members. Register for a Family Showcase through the Visit Us page of this website.

Complete the Blue Oak Application for Admission and return it with a $75 application fee by February 1, 2027.

If you’d like to apply for Indexed Tuition, please fill out the application on the Affordability and Tuition page.

Forms may be found on the Apply page of this website or in the application for admission. Please request a teacher letter of recommendation (if applicable) from your child’s primary teacher. 

All applicants participate in group assessments for developmental and academic readiness on the Blue Oak campus on Februrary 27, 2027. An application must be received before a student may participate in Assessment Day. Assessments are completed collaboratively with the Blue Oak School grade level teachers and the Admissions Department. When appropriate, our Learning Specialist may also be involved.

Reservations required – choose the day that works best for you by registering through the Visit Us page of this website.

Student Shadow Days are half-day experiences where a prospective student attends classes and activities, meets teachers and peers, and gets a firsthand sense of what it feels like to be a Blue Oak student. Student Shadow Days may be scheduled on the same day as the Parent/Guardian Tour if available. Register through the Visit Us page of this website. A student must be eligible to apply for grades 1-5 for Fall 2027 to shadow. An application is not required in advance.

Please submit your student’s complete grade reports and standardized tests (if applicable) from last year and the first semester of the current year. The student’s primary teacher also must submit a completed teacher recommendation form directly to the Admissions Office.
