ABOUT BLUE OAK SCHOOL

Located on two campuses in the heart of downtown Napa, Blue Oak School is a co-educational, independent TK-8 day school where children are known, celebrated, and inspired to love learning. From our youngest transitional kindergarten students to the eighth graders preparing for high school, we offer an exceptional, student-centered education that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and the joy of discovery.

Blue Oak School was founded in 2002 by two families who shared a vision: to create a school where children are encouraged to stretch, grow, and become confident, independent learners. What began as a small K–4 program with just over 70 students has grown into a thriving TK–8 community of more than 170 students.

While most of our students live in Napa, Blue Oak welcomes families from across the region, including Calistoga, St. Helena, Rutherford, Yountville, American Canyon, Sonoma, and Solano County. Our diverse community also includes families who have relocated to Napa Valley from across the country and around the world—from New York to Hawaii, Australia, and France. After graduation, Blue Oak students continue their educational journeys at outstanding high schools both locally and beyond.
