Blue Oak Middle School’s Finishing Touches
We are thrilled to announce that we are in the final construction phase of our brand-new middle school building! The end of June marked the official goodbye to our days on the Hayes Street campus as we successfully packed up and moved into our new home at 1455 Polk Street!
This summer, we’ll be adding the finishing touches to our beautiful new campus located directly across the street from our historical lower school building. We invite everyone to drive by and marvel at our stunning new public art piece installed outside the gymnasium building. The installation lights up every evening and is truly a spectacular sight!
Through the culture and community of the School, teachers nurture the development of character and foster confidence, creativity, flexibility, and curiosity in each child. Students, in turn, encourage each other to learn. Relationships among freedom, responsibility, community, and environment are explored through studies that engage our TK-8th grade students as stewards in service to the School, the region, and the world. This focus on holistic development and community building is at the heart of our mission, and it will continue to thrive in our new middle school building.
We can’t wait to welcome our community into this vibrant new learning space this August! In just over one month, we will be opening the doors to our new campus for the 24-25 school year. Pictured below is our brand-new downtown gymnasium with our teaching kitchen just adjacent to the northeast corner of this building:
The addition of the new Blue Oak Middle School campus will:
- Foster Academic Excellence: We aim to enhance our academic program by creating an exceptional environment for teaching and learning. Tailored spaces, designed to meet the specific needs of each subject area, will enable students to immerse themselves in various disciplines, a crucial aspect of an outstanding middle school program.
- Cultivate Purposeful Community Engagement: We aspire to strengthen community engagement and leadership among the students of Blue Oak School. By uniting our student community from kindergarten to eighth grade, we provide them with opportunities and challenges to take responsibility for one another. Through engaging community activities, family groups, community jobs, buddies, and more, we aim to elevate their sense of purpose, citizenship, and agency.
- Embrace Diversity and Our Mission: We are committed to expanding our community and embracing diversity. Placing our entire campus at the heart of the town, we aim to create more accessible spaces for the broader Napa Valley community. By doing so, we position Blue Oak School as the leading provider of the highest quality education in the Valley.
Blue Oak Middle School is proud to be recognized as one of the best private middle schools in the area, continuing our tradition of excellence in education and community involvement. We are still accepting applications for the 24-25 school year! For inquiries or questions, please reach out to Meredith Wilson at (707) 261-4500.
